What’s changing?
On January 9, 2026, we changed the web location used for hosting our email signature images. On February 10, 2026, we shut down the old image hosting location. The new, dedicated image location is optimized for storing and hosting images.
What does it mean for me?
If you used our free email signature generator before January 9, 2026 (9:00 a.m. UTC), some images in your email signature may no longer display correctly (they may be replaced with their alternative text) if you didn’t update their URLs until February 10, 2026 (8:00 a.m. UTC).
So, for example, your signature might look like this:

Instead of how it’s supposed to look:

The change does not affect every image in your email signature.
Which images are affected?
It’s important to note that the change affects only images provided by mail-signatures.com, that is:
- Social media icons.
- Contact info icons (for example, a phone icon placed next to a phone number in some templates).
- Purely decorative elements (for example, gradient shadows found in some templates).
- Default email signature banners (if you left them unchanged in your signature).
- Sample logos and photo placeholders (which you shouldn’t use in your email signatures anyway).
The change does not affect:
- Your own photo, logo, and banner – we don’t host these images, so they will continue working as before the change.
How to fix it?
The easiest way to make sure your email signature images display correctly is to create a new email signature design using the generator. Alternatively, you can manually update your email signature’s HTML code.
How to update the image URLs without using the generator again?
If you’re a power user and would like to update your existing email signature manually, without the need to use the email signature generator again, here’s how to do it:
- First, save your email signature as an HTML file. For details on how to do it, see How to save, edit and share an HTML email signature. If you have the signature set up in your email app, you can save an email containing this signature as HTML (if it’s a desktop app) or copy the code from the browser inspector (if using a web app). For mobile email signatures, I’d recommend using the generator again instead, or sending the signature to a desktop or web app and continuing from there.
- Open the HTML file using any simple text editor, like Notepad.
- Use the Replace All feature to replace

orhttps://codetwocdn.azureedge.net/images/mail-signatures/generator-dm/
withhttps://imgmsgen.com/img/
Thanks to this, all linked image URLs referenced in the HTML code will be changed to their new location.
